BCM's upper parts kit contains every small component required to complete a stripped upper receiver — forward assist assembly, dust cover assembly with door, spring, pin, and e-clip, as well as all associated detents, springs, and pins. BCM manufactures or sources these components to the same specification as the parts used in their complete rifles, so the forward assist is properly heat-treated and the dust cover pin is appropriately hardened. Installation of a complete upper parts kit from BCM results in a noticeably tighter-feeling dust cover and a forward assist with a more positive tactile click than most budget UPKs.
