Blue Force Gear's Vickers Combat Application Sling (VCAS) is one of the most widely copied sling designs in the firearms accessory market, developed in collaboration with retired Delta Force operator Larry Vickers. The two-point design uses a single pull adjustment tab that allows the shooter to rapidly shorten the sling for a tight shooting position or loosen it for carry without taking hands off the weapon. The VCAS has no cam lever, snap buckle, or other mechanical adjustment mechanism — the Cobra buckle and friction of the webbing provide consistent adjustment. The padded version adds a neoprene shoulder pad that makes extended carry more comfortable. The sling attaches via QD swivel sockets or web sling loops depending on the configuration ordered. Blue Force Gear manufactures all VCAS slings at their South Carolina facility.
