The Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount 2 HL-X is a 1,000-lumen weapon light that provides a high-output option in the mid-price segment of the weapon light market. The remote switch allows for index-finger activation from the handguard while maintaining a full firing grip, and the multi-function tail cap supports both momentary and constant-on modes with a programmable Ten-Tap behavior menu. The light head threads onto a universal Picatinny rail mount that tightens down with a hex screw. Powered by two CR123A batteries, providing approximately 1.25 hours of runtime at maximum output. The aluminum body is Type III hard-coat anodized and the lens is impact-resistant borosilicate glass. While not as purpose-designed for M-LOK as the OWL, the ProTac HL-X is substantially less expensive and provides comparable lumen output.
